We are fortunate to have a long-standing relationship with Frome-based chocolatier, Choc on Choc who craft high-quality and unique chocolates. Think chocolate dumbbells, chocolate knitting sets and even chocolate fossils. Their latest Valentine's drop includes lots of puns and chocolate Crocs, matchsticks and rubber ducks to name a few.
To complete any product, you need the right packaging and chocolate is no exception. We recently printed a range of paper packaging accessories for their latest Valentine's product including tags and corner labels.
Paper packaging has rapidly increased in popularity as consumers have become aware of the negative impacts of single-use plastic and we are thrilled to see more paper packaging being used.
Here's why paper and cardboard is the better choice:
Renewable Material: Paper is made from trees, a renewable resource when sourced responsibly. We ensure all paper is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), guaranteeing it comes from sustainably managed forests.
Recyclability: Unlike many mixed-material packaging options, paper can be easily recycled. This makes it much simpler for consumers to dispose of responsibly.
Biodegradability: Paper breaks down naturally, meaning fewer long-term impacts on the environment.
Packaging is often the first impression customers have with your product and brand so ensuring it aligns with company values is extremely important. Whilst design is incredibly important, it's equally important to not overlook the materials.
One brand that has made some recent developments in their packaging is Amazon. At the end of 2024, Amazon started rolling out a new ‘Shock absorbent' paper envelope to replace their usual plastic, bubble wrap padded envelopes. Now more than 50% of Amazon European shipments come in reduced, recyclable delivery packaging, such as paper bags or cardboard envelopes. This is a positive step in the right direction.
